Hidden Stories: Dorothy Vaughan

I was part of the team that produced the award-winning animation for Morehead Planetarium and Science Center’s “Hidden Stories” series. I worked on the design, animation, sound effects, and music.

The Model Minority Myth

This animation revolves around Dr. Jennifer Ho’s lecture on the model minority myth. I used kinetic typography to make her words come to life in a more visual way. Password: bono

Adobe Worldwide Sales Conference

I was selected as one of six UNC students who created social media content for the Adobe Worldwide Sales Conference 2018. The conference occurred December 17-19, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. My responsibilities included animating quote cards, producing motion graphics for the videos, and monitoring audio levels during interviews. Password: wwsc

1,789 Miles. One Migrant’s Journey. Unedited.

I produced this video revolving around the migration story of a Honduran man. For many of the educators who were present when he shared his journey, “taking 30 minutes and listening to this story changed our perceptions about immigration. It helped us understand that the ‘one story’ we tell ourselves about immigration and the American dream is for too many not the story at all.”

Women’s History Month: Dorothy Cotton

This demo was done to commemorate Women’s History Month. I produced the entirety of the animation. The photographs have a parallax effect, which adds dimension and depth to the animations.

Logo Animations

I have animated logos from several organizations, making them more dynamic when incorporated into their corporate videos.
